ITS STORY, FOUNDER, AND PHILOSOPHY... MEHRY MU
Mehry Mu was founded in Istanbul by Güneş Mutlu Mavituncalılar, whose point of view is shaped as much by instinct as by experience. Born and raised in the city, she studied psychology in the United States before returning to Istanbul, while continuing to move between cultures through travel. Raised within an entrepreneurial family spanning education and media, and with early years spent in fashion magazines, her sense of style has always been deeply personal rather than prescriptive. Her point of view has been noted by The Cut, positioning her as a tastemaker with a distinct, intuitive eye. This perspective naturally evolved into Mehry Mu.
Over the years, the brand has collaborated with global platforms such as Net-a-Porter and Browns, and with institutions including The Met. Its pieces have been carried by women across cultures, including members of royal families and figures in film and fashion.
But Mehry Mu was never meant to be about status.
Over time, the idea evolved into something more personal. A bag is not what makes you someone. It is something you arrive to. Each piece is conceived as a quiet extension of the person who carries it, talismanic, intuitive, and individual. Less about display, more about resonance.
This thinking shapes every detail. Lightweight, often unlined, and intentionally functional, each bag holds a certain ease, sleek yet full of character. The aesthetic draws from a wide spectrum, from Hellenistic influences to subtle Eastern nuances, grounded in a shared language of light, awareness, and a life lived with intention.
